More post-SOTU coverage. Last night, Hannity asked Palin if she saw Justice Alito shake his head and mouth “not true” as he listened to Obama’s critique of the recent Supreme Court decision on political spending by corporations. Did Sarah see it? Oh, Sarah saw it. (Warning: Severe punctuation drought in her statement. Also, I should warn you about this new hair style of hers. Anyway..) :
I saw it Sean, I tell ya, this is why people are disenchanted and becoming more and more disengaged really from what their government is doing because when we see an issue like this, words spoken that may not be true, coming from our president, and embarrassing our Supreme Court and not respecting the separation of powers, we have a problem and that’s illustrated there by that justice there mouthing those words, ‘not true.’ Now one or the other is being disingenuous here, either our president in what he just claimed or the Supreme Court justice…
I’m sorry: Obama is embarrassing himself and “that justice there” by criticizing a decision the Court made? And this shows disrespect for the separation of powers? Alito was no Joe Wilson, but I thought it was Alito who was, at most, a tad rude and uncontrolled for being unable to reign in his emotions during the speech. Or was Alito just respecting the “separation of powers,” or was he being “disingenuous? I’m confused.
Also, Gov. Palin would like us to know that Obama was a pointless lecturer, and, surprise!, she thought Gov. McDonnell did awesomely!
I guess at least she didn’t say this.
Free yourself of Palin commentary, and make sure to scroll down and read the SOTU commentary from our far, far superior pundit, Erin Dexter.

Uh…guess they don’t teach Current Events at Stanford…it’s not Governor McDonald…it’s Governor McDONNELL.
Palin has almost no knowledge of American history or the American system of government, as she has demonstrated over and over and over and over again. Remember the president’s “Department Of Law”? Remember how she thought the VP jawboned Senators to lobby for legislation? Now she shows total ignorance of the concept of a divided government with checks and balances.
Why doesn’t Palin restrict her comments to things she actually knows something about, like clothes?
Hey Ohio guy.. FYI, they call it the “Department of Law” in Alaska.
You just made yourself look ignorant by not providing a real instance of any ‘lack of knowledge’ then you made a sexist comment..
Maybe you should restrict your comments to things you actually knows something about, like patchouli?
BTW, you’re distracted by her hair because you have a low IQ. No matter what sort of Ivy league education you have had. To be that easily distracted smacks of a cro-magnon disposition.
Just in case you think I’m lying about the AK Dept. of Law: http://www.law.state.ak.us/
Tell the DNC to get rid of that talking point. I have seen it repeated in a few comment sections and it’s just making you look foolish.
Think “snow-machine”
Its not like the justice screamed you lie. He was politely letting “the people” know our president is being blatantly dishonest. Maybe if you’d turn your criticism to the current political establishment in DC and do background research on Obama, you’d understand why he simply cannot be trusted by anything he says.
The “Severe punctuation drought in her statement” was nothing more than the pause caused by a delay in transmission of the question, a technical glitch. It’s the same pause that shows up in the videos you posted here on your site. How did you ever get hired, anyway?
Well it looks like you are well on your way to being a first class gossip columnist. Remarking about hair and clothing and then trying unsuccessfully to diminish the Governor’s very accurate assessment. Obama showed very poor judgement criticizing the Supreme court on the SOTU presentation. He showed himself to be petty and insecure. Palin hit it on the head when she said that Obama was lecturing the American people, pretending that the problem was that he had not eaxplained his programs well enough. As she astutely noted, we understand them just fine, we just don’t like them. We find them irrational and dangerous. Please listen to us.
As for the author. I hope you have another day job.
Bottom Line – Obama was right about the Supreme Court decision. Politico has fact checked it.
BTW – I find it a tad odd for such brilliant political analysts such as Palin and Hannity say they don’t know if the President or Alito was right. They have to wait for my talking points.
Palin exhibited extrodinary insight when she said ” Either Alito was right or Obama was right”. WOW Just WOW.
Well the suspense is OVER. The President was right!!!! Well Palin you need to get out that apology card to Obama right away and chastise Alito!
BTW – they pay this woman for contributing word salad? How desperate is FOX.
Why, oh why, do people keep calling Palin “Governor” when she is no longer governing anything? Talk about disingenuous.
Icarus…ALL former office holders are still referred to by their highest office held.
They still call Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney Governor.
Bill Clinton, and both Bushs are still called ‘Mr President, or President.
Rudy Giuliani is still referred to as Mayor.
Former Senators and Congressmen retain that title as well.
I know one thing, if it bothers you that they still call Sarah Governor, you are gonna hate life after 2012, because from then on, she will be called Madam President!
Stanford must be a crappy school if they don’t teach anything so basic.
Fiat is a crappy little car…so I guess this blog is appropriately named.
Now, on to this blog post. McCain-Feingold violated the First Amendment. It was really bad law.
The Supreme Court did the right thing.
As for Obama…no one in history has been so rude as to attack the Court like this. Obama is a punk and a street thug. Totally broke protocol.
I remember he and his thug Congress got upset at Joe Wilson when Wilson called him out for his huge lies. Well Obama owes SCOTUS and apology as well.
Sarah was spot on in her comments. Obama is a loser.
BTW, I’ve watched SOTU speeches for decades and I have never, ever heard a President laughed at before! That’s because we’ve never had such a joke of a POTUS before!
A few comments on what has been said above:
Alicia: What sort of background research are you referring to in saying that nothing Obama says can be trusted? What is it you are implying?
Michael: If you can’t focus your comments on constructive criticism, I would refrain from commenting on this blog’s posts.
Granitepaw: I understand your concern with the President commenting on decisions by the Supreme Court due to issues with separation of powers. But the Supreme Court constantly rules on the constitutionality of acts by the President and Congress, Congress consistently criticizes the President, and the President often criticizes members of Congress. If the President takes an issue with the decision, it is his prerogative if he wants to mention it in his state of the union. In fact, he was mentioning it with relation to a piece of legislation he hopes Congress will pass; this is what Presidents do in the State of the Union, lay out legislative priorities.
Gary: Correct you are about politicians titles. I won’t argue legal logic with you, but I don’t believe corporations deserve the same rights as individuals, especially when these rights apply to elections. Individuals with strong conservative ideologies tend to believe in individuals’ rights and the rights of the common man. This decision elevates the rights of one corporation over those of thousands of individuals. This is far from what someone that supports the rights and power of the common individual would support.
