True Diversity is Based on Individualism
I suppose some conservatives might disagree with me on this, but ethnic diversity really is a goal our school ought to pursue. It means all that stuff you've heard it means: bringing together people of different backgrounds, allowing students to interact with a cross-section of American (and global) society, creating a more cosmopolitan atmosphere, and fostering understanding and respect.....Full story.....by Alex Robbins
US Correct to Boycott Racism Conference
The World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia And Related Intolerance (WCAR), sponsored by the UN and held in Durban, South Africa, fell apart after the US and her allies failed to convince Arab League states to rescind demands for offensive language about Israel in the conference declaration. This is sad not merely because of the irony of an anti-racism conference harboring racist motives, but also because it denied African and Western nations the opportunity to hold meaningful talks about reparations for slavery and the trans-Atlantic slave trade.

Income Gap Studies Based on Flawed Statistics
One of the most pernicious impacts of academia on society is the vast advocacy statistics industry that generates phony statistics in support of ideologically based claims that American society is a racist, sexist, selfish, unfair or otherwise bigoted. The standard statistical technique is to omit explanatory variables in the study of some racial or sexual difference, then attribute the unexplained residual to race or sex.
