Have You Heard the One About the Officer?

Nanci Howe, director of what is now SAL, was returning to her office earlier this week when she spotted two police cruisers in front of Dinkelspiel Auditorium. Concerned about what was going on, and curious, Howe asked one of the officers, Deputy Allen James, “why they needed to provide such heavy security for Dinkelspiel, especially during winter break.”

His response?

Well, we didn’t do this for Kresge Auditorium, and look what happened to it.

It’s nice to see that at least some of our officers keep a good sense of humor.
