Indoctrination Indeed


The text of Obama’s upcoming school address has been released, and it is chock full of socialist references, such as:

I’m calling on each of you to set your own goals for your education – and to do everything you can to meet them.

And:

I hope you’ll all wash your hands a lot, and stay home from school when you don’t feel well, so we can keep people from getting the flu this fall and winter.

Indoctrination indeed. Republican commentators are embarrassing themselves with their uproar over the address (and Glenn Beck hasn’t even begun shedding tears over the matter!). On this front, press secretary Robert Gibbs got it right:

I think we’ve reached a little bit of the silly season when the president of the United States can’t tell kids in school to study hard and stay in school.
