In a continued effort to raise awareness, students and janitors protested today against the new subcontractor for Stanford janitorial services, UNICCO. When UNICCO becomes Stanford’s janitorial services provider, it plans to fire about 70 of the current janitors, and only allow some to reapply at the bottom of the wage-scale.
