Saying Goodbye to Bravman

As we know, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education John Bravman has left for the presidency of Bucknell. Today, the Stanford Report published a great profile of his legacy, through the eyes of those who benefited from it, students, alumni, and Stanford lovers everywhere. I never got a chance to know him very well, but in a single dinner that I was lucky enough to attend with him, I saw many of these same features. He’s simply a phenomenal person, both brilliant and connected to the needs of students. I hope that his replacement (who should be announced shortly; I don’t know who it will be, but a name that I’ve heard kicked around is Harry Elam, so we’ll see) can fill those huge shoes.
